Original face of Central School uniform becomes change...

from 50 years Traditional to Modern..!

The dress of uniform for more than ten lakh boys and girls studying in central schools across the country and aboard is going to change from traditional to modern.

Eve of the celebration of fifty years completion of central schools, the management and also students would like to introduce new uniform pattern from the academic session 2012-13. NIFT has taken the major task and the pattern for the modern trend with the taste of students has now completed. The design and pattern photos published on the official website of KVS. They introduced tow types of uniform, one for summer and another for winter. And the students studying in classes are also divide in segments such as I and II, III to VIII and IX to XII. Every design has a separate specification for fabric and pattern.

In south India, period of winter session is not much longer compared to north India. Here is not much difficulty to attending schools in the winter. In south regions, problem on hot summer days. Recently KVS has changed the period of summer holidays, upto second week of May children went to school.

NIFT has designed not only the regular uniform and also showing interest in the sports wear, socks, belt and shoes, scarf for Muslim girls, turban for Sikh students and hair accessories for girls such as red colour ribbon/elastic band. The specification of fabric material of new uniform has also been published.

It is not compel to wear the uniform from this academic session of 2012-13, the present uniform has been allowed. The old uniform may be weaned out of use gradually over a period of two years until then old and new uniforms simultaneously allowed. The management is advised to the parents of class I students to get the uniform stitched for their wards as per the new pattern.

The Board of Governors meeting, which was held on 18.5.2012 has approved of the adoption of new uniform design for the KV students.

Everything is ready to wear the new uniform for a another unique identity, good bye to old uniform..!
