New Weekly Express Train Between Tirupati-Puducherry To Be Introduced
As announced in the Railway Budget 2013-14, Shri V. Narayanaswamy, Hon’ble Minister for State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and PMO along with Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for Railways will flag off a new Weekly Express Train from Tirupati to Puducherry at on 17th September, 2013 at Puducherry Railway Station.
Inaugural run:
On its Inaugural run, Train No. 07414 Puducherry-Tirapati Weekly Express will depart Puducherry at 12 15 hrs on 17thSeptember 2013 and arrives Tirupati at 19 25 hrs on the same day. Enroute this train will stop at Villupuram, Tirukkovilur, Tiruvannamalai, Polur, Arni Road, Vellore Cant, Katpadi, Chittor and Pakala stations.
After arrival at Tirupati, this train will be run as a Janatha Special to Chennai Central. This Janata Special will depart Tirupati at 22 30 hrs on 17th Sept 2013 and arrive Chennai Central at 02 30 hrs on the next day. Enroute this train will stop at Renigunta, Puttur, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur stations. The composition of the train: eight General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van coaches, totaling to 10 Coaches.
Regular run:
On its regular run, Train No.17413 Tirupati-Puducherry weekly Express will depart Tirupati at 21 35 hrs on Saturdays with effect from 21st September 2013 and arrive Puducherry at 04 30 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 17414 Puducherry-Tirupati weekly Express will depart Puducherry at 08 35 hrs on Sundays with effect from 22ndSeptember 2013 and arrive Tirupati at 16 00 hrs on the same day. Enroute this train will stop at Pakala, Chittor, Katpadi, Vellore Cant, Arni Road, Polur, Tiruvannamalai, Tirukkovilur and Villupuram in both the directions.
The composition of the train : Eight General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van coaches, totaling to 10 Coaches.
