IRCTCIRCTC Agents - How many private agents are enlisted with IRCTC

Private agencies in Rail Reservation :  Under the internet ticketing system, at present 92 agents including 77 private agencies are enlisted with IRCTC for booking reserved e-tickets...

A question has been raised by the Member of Parliament regarding the private agencies enlisted with IRCTC, in written reply the Minister of State for Railways said that "At present, computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) terminals are provided only at Railway reservation centers, post offices and at a few Government establishments. However, under the internet ticketing system, at present 92 agents including 77 private agencies are enlisted with IRCTC for booking reserved e-tickets".

The existing reservation arrangements are adequately catering to the normal ticketing demand of the passengers.
