DA Announcement from Jan 2013DA Announcement Expected Today..!

Additional Dearness allowance for Central Staff and Pensioners yet to be announced, it is expected today.

Today Cabinet Committee may approve 8% additional dearness allowance to enhance for CG staff and Pensioners. More than fifty lakh employees and 30 lakh pensioners will get the benefit of DA and DR from 1.1.2013. Now they are getting 72% of their basic pay and pension, it will become 80% and the arrears of the amount for the month of Jan, Feb and March would be paid in next month.

In every year DA announcement has been published in March only, the enhanced amount would be paid in the payment of March itself. This time it will carry over to April. Last September the additional had been hiked to 72%.

After approval of Cabinet Committee, the Finance Ministry will publish necessary orders to issue the enhanced payment to the employees and pensioners immediately.
